Well, the last few months have been trying to say the least. We have been working on getting Barnmaster Barns to fix some significant leak issues with their product. What happens is that anytime the wind would blow rain against the sides of the barn, the water literally ran down the walls and flooded whatever stalls happened to be in the line of fire. I am not talking about a little water here. I am talking about 3 to 4 inches of water in the stall.
As you can imagine, this provided quite a distraction to the day-to-day operations of Heron Creek. The unfortunate part of this story includes the fact that Barnmaster Barns does not seem inclined to acknowledge that there is a problem that a little caulking can't fix.
Now in Barnmaster Barns defense, the new local distributor (who bought out the old distributor) has spent some time trying to identify the source of the leak. Unfortunately, the source is between every seam of the wall panels. This is a significant flaw in the construction design and Barnmaster Barns fails to acknowledge their flaw. Check out the video below of me scooping out the water from the stall. (It is a little dark, but I think you get the idea)
Andy Tyler of Tylerbuild Custom homes has done a great job with the residing. No leaks and much warmer. You can check out his work or contact him at

So the moral of that story is don't buy a barnmaster barn if you live somewhere it rains.
